Finally tried this place, on 85th & Columbus. It was formerly Il Fiore, formerly La Bicyclette, and it's across from Nonna, formerly 420, formerly Avenue. I'd heard positive early reports but had never been there, and stopped in for brunch yesterday. It was pretty good. The manti, little dumplings with lamb and mint in a yogurt sauce, were quite luxurious in the mouth: firm-ish tiny dumplings with just a kernel of lamb inside (though one still got a nice lamb flavor), in the luscious smooth yogurt, nicely warm. Also had the tarama, which was aggressively salty but better with a bit of lemon squeezed on it. Chicken kebab was forgettable, but the filo rolls with spinach and cheese inside were well-flavored, though they could have been a bit more crisp and they were a touch greasy. The almond pistachio milk pudding was a lovely cool, lightly sweet dessert. Would like to try their dinner offerings, which I believe are more ambitious.
