Located at Midland & McNicoll in Scarborough, this is a new Udon restaurant opened by Seiichi Kashiwabara of Zen Sushi. They expect to open around mid-July but we were invited to try. To keep brief, tried the Ikura Oroshi (Cold) Udon and it was excellent, complex flavors. Another was the Tamaki (hand roll) that came wrapped in a plastic wrapper that separated the seaweed wrapper from the inside roll, and it's quite an interesting process to try to unwrap the plastic and wrap the hand roll yourself.

The decor inside was modern Japanese (Zen-like) and you can tell this is going to be an upscale Udon restaurant. They didn't have prices but looking at their menu on their website, it's not going to be cheap. But IMO it was worth it. We will absolutely go again when they finally open. Chef Kashiwabara-san has another winner. Recommended for sure.
