After checking out Zeke's Smokehouse in Montrose over the weekend I just want to put my two cemts in. I too, like Tujunga Mike, have been an affectonado of the Texas tyle BBQ joints of central Texas and am happy that there is finally a place that approximates (if not in atmosphere then certainly in taste) here in Los Angeles. I ahd a combination platter that was just outstanding and the side dishes (mashed potatoes and baked beans)were as good as any I have ever had. The baby back ribs were delicious and the brisket and chicken were not over cooked with just the right amount of smoke. I took a half pound of the pulled pork home and have been eating it as midnite snack for the past couple of days. I know that as soon as it runs out I'm treking back up to Montrose and Zeke's to resuply. Zeke's rocks!
