We invited a group of friends and family for the passover menu at Zahav. The menu this year featured hummus with braised beef cheeks and roasted egg. I could have made that my entire meal and been happy. It was served with homemade matzoh, which is so much better then the stuff you get out of the box.
The array of salads is always interesting. But the highlight for me was a celery salad with white anchovies. (and I don't particuarly even like celery). Everyone else seemed to think the brisket braised in coffee was their favorite. But all agreed that the coconut cream flan with red wine sorbet was the best passover dessert...ever.
The restaurant was jammed. They are serving the regular menu, too. But I saw a lot of orders of the special menu going out.
