Had another excellent dinner Friday night.And they were busier than they've been in awhile. Split the eggplant tower with a DC, then had the fusilli (what is it about East Boston and homemade fusilli?) scoglio - fusilli in a light, lightly spicy sauce tinged red from the cherry tomatoes in the dish, topped with tons of mussels in shell,clams in shell and calamari rings. A very generous portion. One DC had the pasta special - linguine romana - broccoli, artichoke hearts, mushrooms in a light red sauce; also wonderful. Other DC had the antipasto for one - a perfect one-person size - few slices of prosciutto and salami, couple of chunks of cheese, couple of slices of marinated,grilled veggies - and the gnocchi, which he loves, for dinner. We all split 2 desserts - homeamde tiramisu, their version of which we all love, and the espresso mousse, which was outstanding.

NEW - starting tomorrow, on Tuesday nights they will be doing a "sagra." Serving family style - your choice of 2 or 3 courses among antipasati,primi and secondi, $20/$30 respectively - as I understand it, a set meal. Reservations required. I took a flyer, but have misplaced it, so details could be a little off (am sure about the prices and family style, though).
