Driving frequently between Tucson and California, I often explore the local eats en route. Yuma has a wonderful restaurant that they refer to as a "rib-joint" called Brownie's on 4th which is the main drag in Yuma. This has been the local spot for many many years where ranchers and cowboys, Indians and Mexicans meet and eat hearty breakfasts, and heaping plate lunches of down home food. There are always daily specials at yesteryear prices. Waitresses come up to your table as soon as you sit down with coffee pot in hand, "Coffee, honey?"// How about more message-sharing on some of these wonderful restaurants found in smaller towns, cities and cross-roads? They are often overlooked gems where some of the best local specialities are prepared by those who really know how to cook!
