Yujin: Japanese on 12th St.

Yujin, on 12th St. near University. Very pleasant, moderately expensive Japanese fusion cuisine. They have excellent fish for their sushi & sashimi, but they liven up the menu with flavors and techniques from Europe, e.g. an appetizer of raw striped bass in an interesting dressing that includes truffle oil.

Lunch is very reasonable: The $12 bento box is a huge meal. The $19 prix fixe is also a good value and the selections are all good. Service is a bit slow. The space is large, comfortable, and quiet.
