I just got back from a business trip to DC and went with a group to Yuca. All 12 people agreed it was a definite mistake. The food was dry, bland, flavorless, unexciting. The best thing on my plate was the white rice if that says anything to you. I had the deep fried pork chunks, can't remember what they called it on the menu. What a disaster. It was like dehydrated pork pellets. How can they ruin pork fat?
The mojitos were good.
We should have known when we got there at 7:30 on a Saturday night and the place was a ghost town. On the other hand it did fill up with authentic Cubans/ Puerto Ricans when the dance floor got going at 9:30.
All in all I'd say go to dance and skip the food.
