I had to move from NY to Philly about five months ago. And if I was sad about it before, I'm crying now.
In this week's _New Yorker_, there is a Talk of the Town bit on a Yorkville pizzeria called Gino's (not the place on Lex in the 60s). Apparently, some Mets and Yankees players have started eating the pasta there for good luck. Here is a link to the article:
The tragedy (for me, at least) is that when I lived in NY, I ate pizza at Gino's almost every day. In fact, I wrote a note here on it:

It's a pretty typical, moderately-priced neighborhood Italian (the kind, actually, that is easier to find in Philly than in NY), but their slices are much better than anything else in the area (except, of course, Patsy's, which isn't really in the area).
While I'll only be able to get back there every once in a while now, I hope that some of you can get up there. And if you score any free tickets, think of me!
