I am a hot dog fanatic from New Jersey. We have some good places here; Syd's (the best imho) Rutt's Hutt, Max's, Windmill, Galloping Hill Inn. I had to try N.Y.C. however, and Papaya King was great, along with F&B. Papaya King is a spicy, all beef dog, similar to Syd's in Jersey. F&B uses the famous Usinger frank, which I have mailed to me from Wisconsin. It is good at F&B, but I preferred it grilled like I make it at home. Today I will try Katz's for the first time. I'm wondering if anyone tried Super Duper Weenie from Fairfield Conn. A previous Chowhound poster said it is better than F&B and Katz's. From what I hear, the best hot dogs in N.Y. are Katz,s Papaya King, Gray's Papaya, and F&B. What do you think. Comments welcome.
