Yemen Kitchen aka Brooklyn Yemen Kitchen on Jones has been open for maybe a year now, but I finally went in. I am happy to say that it is run by Abdul, the former chef at Yemeni Restaurant before they had an ownership change maybe 1.5 years back. (Ali the co-owner of Yemeni Restaurant moved to Yemen then Fresno and now back to Yemen again in the meantime).
Expect kick ass Lamb dishes and rich tangy Saltah. The place is TINY with seating for ~10 people + 2 stools.
I was a huge fan of Yemeni Restaurant, and while the new incarnation is still pretty good, it lost a lot of the charm. Abdul cooked a whole lamb for my wedding night dinner back in 2011 so I'm a bit biased. Sorry I didn't take pictures but you know where to find them.
The website is a bit odd, but the eat24 menu look relatively complete. There may be menu items in Arabic only, but that was only suggested in a chronicle/sfweekly article on the wall.
