yeast: instant v. rapid rise

I am trying to remember the difference between instant yeast and rapid rise. I know the rapid rise purports to rise in 50% less time than active dry yeast AND I know that instant yeast doesn't need to be dissolved first in liquid before adding to the dry ingredients. HOWEVER, I am confused as to whether instant yeast is supposed to rise in 50%less time than active dry yeast. I just bought 2 lbs of Fleischman's instant yeast! Thank you all! Meagan
