New Year's - visiting family in Gresham

yyc_mom | Dec 10, 201409:38 PM     7

Hi, I'm coming to visit extended family who live in what used to be the south part of Gresham and is now part of Damascus. My Portland family are not foodies - they love big chain restaurants. We'd like to treat them to a meal out, but pick a place that we'll all enjoy.

We are in town for New Year's Eve and New Year's Day, and could eat out for any meal except NYE dinner, which we'll have at home. We'll be a total of 9 people - two relatively well behaved children (8 and 4), two mid-lifers (me and my husband), and 5 retirees (my parents and extended family). We will have plenty of cars to get where we're going. We could get to downtown Portland, but would prefer a place to the southeast, closer to where we're staying.

I'm thinking about New Year's Day brunch at Country Cat. Any other suggestions?
