Went to Wallys and upon rec of the LA Times bought a small "farmed" caviar and also a red salmon egg jar of caviar plus creme fraiche and small rusks and a good bottle of champagne.
Verdict: Red salmon caviar si and farmed caviar, no.
We did the whole set up which was a lot of fun but the taste of the salmon caviar was really mouth bursting, just delicious. A scrape of creme fraiche, spoon of caviar and a squeeze of lemon. A dish of happiness. Also had chopped hard boiled eggs for a couple of servings for a different taste.
Next time: would stick with the good champagne and would skip the farmed stuff and then find some Russian to steer us to the good black diamonds.
