I'm going to start this year's thread as my fiancé has asked me to find a spot for his office… I am very comfortable with planning the high-end, expensive events but this time, it needs to come in on a budget ($50 a person?) and be more low-key.
His staff aren't really into haute cuisine or heavy drinking, so I'm hoping it will make it a bit easier to find a place to accommodate about two-dozen people.
Also, I don't necessarily have the restraints of it needing to be before Christmas or in the city (San Mateo? San Carlos?) but not the East Bay.
