Yamo Thai

Jupiter | Feb 8, 200203:30 PM

Yamo Thai, 18th and Mission,
Have any of you been there? It is a complete hole in the wall. One counter with about 6 seats. the stove is right next to the door and they have hooked up a fan in the window to act as a pseudo "hood" to blow out the exhaust onto the unfortunate folk waiting for the bus that are forced to smell these incredible aroma's and drool while waiting for the 33 Muni.
Stopped in the other night after finally giving in and ordered Pad Thai with chicken, Chicken Satay with peanut suace and an order of fried spring rolls (for my husband who loves fried anything)
Took it all home and started to consume at a frantic pace! The Pad Thai was excellent, the noodles were nicely fired, not overwhelmingly sticky or wet, some of the best pad thai i have had in a while. (they did not give us any limes, but i had some and squirted it all over my noodles and they were perfect.) The chicken Satay: we got 6 in our order and the peanut sauce was AWESOME, the chicken was a little flat and boring without the sauce, but the sauce made it all better, i was licking out the cup before we threw it away! The spring rolls were probably the worst thing, and they still got eaten. they also came with a sauce that did them great justice. a spicy sweet and sour chili sauce (i licked out that cup as well!)
I recommend this place for cheap delicious Thai in the Mission. I will definetely be back there again for take out on the way home from fencing...
