yesterday at the Chinese market in OKC I bought a Yali pear and can't bear to eat it because it smells so incredibly good I have it here by my keyboard and just smell the thing now and then. Unfortunately that's an hour and a half away so I won't be there again soon. I think I may take it to my local grocery store owner and ask if he can get some. I think I'll try one half raw and the other half with honey under the broiler as a farmer's market website suggested.
Does anybody out there know how widely produced these are? I did a Google search and only saw them mentioned with farmer's markets.
