How do ya like yer Grits? :)

I love to buy one of those $6 turkey hams, slice it up and freeze it so I can pull out a slice, fry it up, and have it for breakfast with grits. I generally get the 5 minute grits - not the instant (didn't like those). I put a little butter, salt, pepper, garlic powder and maybe some other herb blends.

This morning I added a few drops of tobasco sauce (I like Tapatio's because it's mild) and DUBLINER cheese (it's a cheese imported from Ireland that is really good, discovered at Trader Joe's, but it's now at my Safeway store). WOW! It was SOOOO good!

If I have them, I chop up chives or scallions on top. I like to put it in a nicely warmed soup mug for my out-the-door breakfast. :) If I'm at home and in the mood, I'll scramble an egg laced with tobasco and cheese or salsa and mix it in.

Love to see any other good ideas for grits.
