...if the service improved! We've been to this place several times and we always end up feeling a little bit--ostracized...we're usually the only non-Russian speaking peeps in the house but there's still this sense of "ok we'll take your money just hurry up and eat and pay your tab please". The $2 coat check per item is mandatory, and they add a 10% service charge/gratuity, even on orders for 2. I have to ask for water all the time. And other patrons tend to speak loudly and on cell phones, esp. during lunch time.
But as for the food, well, it's fantastic. The presentation is outstanding and the selection is plentiful. It's not just crepes either! They have several meat options including chicken, a few different fish/seafood options, beef, and more like rabbit and tongue. The mixed berry dessert crepe is worth the trip alone!
The bill comes in this little wooden box and the crepe prices are reasonable. And in the summer, there is outdoor seating w/ a view of the harbor!
But it's all in the details, isn't it? If they would just kick the service up a notch, we'd frequent this place even more than we currently do. And I used to speak Ukranian as a child, but forgot it all. If I only knew that it'd be useful back then...lol...
