We had a great lunch in Trier, Germany at the Xmas Market. On demand, Glüwein, hot mulled wine, red or white. Steamed dumplings (about the size of a baseball) filled with cherries and topped with a steaming vanilla sauce. Fried mushrooms topped with a spiced mayonaise, potato pancakes with aside of applesauce for dipping, sausages and sweinwurst(like a big frankfurter) served on crusty bread with mustard, and of course, crepe with various fillings, waffles with various toppings, cookies and cakes galore. It was raining and cold, but the atmosphere and food warmed the body and heart.
