Xmas Crab Dinner at Best Panda

vliang | Dec 23, 200401:57 PM

My urban tribe and I (eight total) went to Best Panda in the Outer Richmond last night for dinner and our annual xmas gift exchange (before everyone takes off)based upon the recommendation on this board. We are all crab fiends and could not resist the thought of $6.88 for a crab.
We ordered two salt & pepper crabs and two ginger & scallion crabs, an order of the OK sauce short ribs, an order of the house chow mein, an order of sauteed green beans, and order of clams in black bean sauce, a moo-shoo chicken, seafood tofu soup, and some spring rolls. We each had about 2-3 beers.
The crab was really meaty and sweet. The salt & pepper preparation was nice but the ginger scallion really shined. We were elbow deep in crab shells and in Dungeness heaven!
The total for all the food and beers came to $20 per person including tax and a really generous tip. An amzing deal. One in my group kept saying with $2.50 for a beer, he could stay all night. We were all very impressed with the food and the value... definitely am going to eat here again to try other dishes... but may get sidetracked by the cheap crab!!! Thanks so much for the tip... right on as usual.
