A XLB report- Grand Shanghai Edison

Just back from GS in Edison. There was one Caucasion couple there, US, and the rest of the patrons were Chinese, which to us, was a great sign.

The host, William was extremely cordial and helpful with the menu, even though we were there to try their Xiao Long Bao.

Well, they didn't disappoint! The crab XLB were out of this world. Up there with the Joe's Shanghai's of the world...and much closer to home. The dumplings were incredibly light, and there was plenty of crab soup inside each one. And finished with crab roe....incredible!

After the crab dumplings, the pork were a bit less exciting, but I will say, they too were excellent.

As we just came of the Xiao Long Bao, that's all that we tried today. But we're looking forward to going back as Mr. William promised to make us more authentic Shanghaiese food on our next visit.

A wonderful surprise!!
