Went for lunch today and boy was it crowded. I got the banh mi bo kho (beef stew with french bread). A good size bowl (not as big as I expected) with a nice flavorful broth, extra tender slices of beef that melted in mouth, a few chunks of boiled carrot and potato and the usual sprinklings of scallion and cilantro. A plate with two small loaves of french bread came with the meal for dipping. They were toasty, warm and flaky. I thoroughly enjoyed my meal. The only complaint was the stew wasn't spicy at all. The menu indicated it was. But everything was so good I really didn't care.
The staff was welcoming and very interested in feedback. I saw many servers chatting with customers and offering help and seeking suggestions. They seemed really concerned if you enjoyed the meal. I was asked by at least two different people if I enjoyed the stew. I'm sad to see Nam Vang gone but I wish Xinh Xinh the best of luck. So far so good. I can't wait to go back again and try more dishes
