On advice from fellow C-hounders, I stopped in.
The place was empty. And dirty. And about 12 degrees celsius.
The one guy there wearing the dirty clothes took my order. He did not even wash his hands before popping my leek & pork dumplings into the pot.
Anyhow, enough about cleanliness. I mean, I don't expect anything next to Godliness in this neighbourhood. But, the food was just adequate. And, the table sauces were not better than those at Mother's as I had been told by my fellow C-hounder who raved about Xin Mao's homemade condiments.
After waiting around 25 minutes, the dumplings were a C-. Their shells were too thick and the small fillings just popped out of each dumpling. Mother's are much better.
This place is not good. Mother's is much better. Did I miss something?
