Gotta ask this question of our international community. A poster on the Boston (and on the Chicago board) says that xiao long bao (little steamed dumplings or "soup dumplings" to New Yorkers) were no were to be found in Shanghai nor any dumpling street stands. While it's been many years since I visited the city, I can't imagine this in my wildest dreams!
What's the scoop? Was this poor tourist a victim of a cruel conspiracy?
