Once a year I go to NYC for theater and shopping and we always have dinner at Wu Liang Ye, on 48th Street. Maybe distance does make the heart grow fonder, (and the tastebuds), but each time we eat there, it seems better than the last. They prepare delicious Szechuan food in a casual, comfortable atmosohere. They are usually very busy and they know how to feed you and get you out of there without making you feel rushed or ripped off. Among the best are Dan Dan noodles and Szechuan dumplings. It is true and spicey and not for the faint of heart.
