I had dinner last night at Catch Restaurant in Winchester for the first time. All I can say is WOW! It was a wonderful meal--undeniably the best I've had in months! The restaurant's decor is simple but tasteful. There is an open kitchen and bar seats, where you can watch the chefs create beautiful dishes right before your eyes. I started with the oyster pan roast for my appetizer. It was presented beautifully and the flavors balanced well. Nothing overpowered the delicate flavor of the oysters. My entree was lobster, which was served out of the shell. Wonderful flavors balanced out the lobster. No heavy sauces here! For dessert, I had the coconut panna cotta, which was light and tasty. Some patrons may feel that the $45 prix fixe is steep for the suburbs, but the quality of Catch's food is tough to beat. Even in Boston.
