Worthy Indian Contender in Renton

I'm not a great fan of Indian food generally, but the Curry Pot, 709 s 3rd St, Renton, has made me a believer. For starters, curried mussels. They spell it muscles, which to me is often a good sign that they are focusing on food and not spelling. They are outstanding and addictive. Entrees include fish tikka, served on a sizzling platter, and fantastic.
Shrimp Jalfrazies are large and fresh. Dessert includes pistachio ice cream.
Lunch is a 5.99 buffet, with items a bit different from the usual gloppy Indian buffet, and includes something I've never seen: Onion chutney, which is a glorious shade of red, slightly tangy, and delicious.
The place is a bit odd, scizophrenic. One side of the place is an espresso and sandwich bar, so theoretically, you could have a bagel and cream cheese, a latte, and Tandoori lamb.
All in all, this place is a find and one of the best Indian places in the Seattle area, and the only Indian place to get a bagel.
