Worst Dining Experience Ever (The Bitter End, Austin)

Bob | Apr 30, 2003 02:52 PM

I just got back from the biggest dining disaster of my life. I was at a going-away lunch witha colleague of mine and 9 other co-workers. Seven people ordered salads. The waiter or cooks or whoever got ALL SEVEN salads wrong. Totally wrong. Wrong dressings, no chicken...no avacados on a Cobb....no dressing at all. They screwed up nearly everything that we ordered. And, it took over an hour before the food arrived. They never did get everyting fixed that hey messed up. Then, the manager came by and instead of apologizing, she implied that perhaps it was US that simply ordered the wrong salad or something. Ridicilious. But, it doesn't stop there. We get the bill--expecting to see a lot of comped food--and they charged us for NINE salads--instead of SEVEN. After another five minutes, they brought the check back--and still didn't comp ANYTHING.

By the way, the lunch took over 2 hours and the food SUCKED.

I would go back and complain to the owners, but even if they offered me free food and beer for the next six months, I wouldn't step foot in that place again. Do yourself a fovor and NEVER--EVER--go to the Bitter End on 4th and Colorado in downtown Austin, Texas.
