This is a repost and I'm responding to some of the comments. Someone thought because it is a cold blueberry pie it was a tart. It is no more a tart than a lemon merange pie is a tart. This is a deep dish pie.
I'm a New Englander and while I enjoy a good tart, I crave pie. I would never take a tart home to the family for the holidays. However, the pie recipe is a summer romance. It requires fresh blueberries and can't be frozen. It was good enough to introduce to the folks for our 4th of July get together last year and everyone raved about what a fine choice I made.
Is this better than a wild blueberry pie. As someone who spent my youth raiding wild blueberry bushes in Rocport Mass I can only say YES !!!
