They're finally open. Inside is very sterile and a bit loud, but they have some tables outside and it was very pleasant today. Be warned, they have some kinks to work out. There were about 10 groups of customers, all groups of four or less. However, line to order was slow and most of the orders came out incomplete or with little hickups (no mustard; sandwiches arrived as they were made, so some were done by the time others got their sandwiches).
There were three working the place that I could tell, one of which was the manager and they seemed harried to say the least. However, corrections and missing sandwiches were quickly fixed and all the staff was super-friendly and expressed concern over the hick-ups and seemed to be working hard to get running smoothly. The manager said they'll only be open for lunch until they get things right and then they'll open up for dinner and advertise (they're also working on a beer/wine license).
The menu is smaller than the flagship location, but they have the ruben they're famous for. Husband got the ruben and I got the cheese steak. Ruben was exactly like the Guadalupe location and my cheese steak had nice ingredients and was kicked up considerably with a side of au jus.
It's a welcome addition to the land of the bland.
