The wife and I had the pleasure of having lunch at The Workshop in Benicia this afternoon. It's a tiny hole-in-the-wall with counter service and just a few tables outside, and is putting out some of the best Cajun food in the Bay Area.

The menu was slightly more extensive than what is shown in the photos. We shared the red beans &rice with smoked ham, sausage and turkey necks (absolute favorite version outside of NOLA), sweet cornbread (moist and similar to Hard Knox but not muffins), oyster poor boy (plenty of crispy, greaseless oysters on soft bread), and seafood gumbo (rich deep roux with plenty of crab meat, oysters and shrimp).

Food was a bit slow coming out, but the young lady who took our order and brought our food comped us a couple of extra beverages. This place is a gem folks!
