About a year ago I finally bit the bullet and joined the Park Slope Food Co-op. I only lasted a month, mainly because I was working fulltime and the only times I could shop it was ridiculously packed which made the other sacrifices not worth it. Now I'm laid off and I'm going to rejoin. I was hoping to get opinions on the "best" work assignments. I know I may not be able to choose, but would still like to get an idea of what goes by quickly and doesn't seem too annoying. My one shift was spent in the office and I'm pretty sure it's not for me. Doesn't pass the pass quickly test and also, to be frank, I was exposed to far too many of the type of people who made me originally avoid joining the co-op.
Please let me know what duties have worked for you and which ones felt like torture. Thanks!
