Where should I work?

Marisa | Feb 16, 2002 12:40 AM

I am moving to New York at the end of the month, and plan to supplement my income waiting tables. I have been working in D.C. at a very fun and very hip restaurant, and would love to continue that experience in NYC. I figured Chowhounds might be able to point me in the right direction, since we all view a meal at a restaurant as an experience and not just the eating of food.

I am looking for a restaurant with a young-ish crowd. Not too expensive or fancy, but not a dive either. Ideally, you'll have noticed that the staff is qualified and intelligent, while also having a good time enjoying their job. A simple uniform, or lack of a specific uniform, would be bonus.

I'd appreciate any feedback you may be able to give me. Thank you!
