i know there are a smattering of recent posts but just to have this post serve as a small reminder to make an effort and go eat on norfolk street, i didn't post far below. i had dinner here recently and it had really been way too long. i remembered how good it is and saw how much it actually works as a winter dining experience, (tho eating a lobster roll anytime of the year is a good idea). the bouillabaise is excellent. a deep and complicated rich broth with clams, mussels, fish and a huge piece of lobster - all cooked beautifully. the creamy and hot polenta with garlic is a perfect winter comfort food. delicious bottle of bandol, a few lightly fried oysters and clams, some excellent cheesecake and a good time was eaten by all. warm and friendly service, delightful atmosphere, they said the new lobster roll (they are changing the herbs each season) begins on january 4th and will have saffron and basil. a good way to start the new year i expect.
