Wool Growers - Bakersfield Report

Back on 5/11 I requested some information on this establishment. Went last night. What a ujnique dining experience. I cannot even with a longish report tell you how good and how much fun this was.
You are just sitting there, after having been served bread and butter, when the waitress bringsyour group a giant toureen of soup, a plate of beans and what was named and appeared to be a salsa, and a plate of dry Monterrey Jack Cheese. Being an old Santa Maria Fan I asked the waitress if the beans and salsa werre eaten separately wo which she kindly instructed me that you coimbined them to taste in the soup. Oh my Gawd! What a taste treat. This was followed by a salad, tomatoes and bell pepper and spiced cottage cheese. I asked the waitress to pick between one of my two selections, either the roast lamb or the oxtail stew. Well now Sports fans let me tell you that cattle must sign up their to donate the oxtails. What a treat! Served with spagetti and french fries (You beginning to get the idea). They apologized that dessert was an extra charge.
Dinner per person is about $18.50 plus tax and tip. The wine list is a bottle of chilled red. A non-descript bottle that paired beautifully with the food.
This is a must go to place.
There's more about the other dishes but for another time.
