Had dinner at Pane E Salute last night. Started with the special salad with arugala, white beans, red onions and tomato. Too much oil on the salad, but very fresh. We both at the Tuscan pizza with ham, olives, mushrooms and artichoke hearts. The crust had a lot of flavor, but no charring- I assume there is no brick oven?
Overall, a lovely meal, and a lovely town.
We were a little disappointed with the Woodstock Farmer's Market, especially because we had recently visited the food coop in Brattelboro (which I HIGHLY recommend to anyone). Our sandwiches at the Woodstock market were amazing- just not as many local goods as I expected (i.e. cheese, fruit wines, etc.)
Wished we had more time there. Thanks for the recs.
