Woodridge Grill Smoker Box Review (for gas grills)

I saw this smoker box at the Fancy Food Show in SF in Dec/Jan and thought maybe but was still a little skeptical. So I see one at the local Long's drugs and bought one. $10.00. It says it will get 8 uses out of a box of chips.

I've used it twice and I'm pleasantly surprised it works well, nicely actually. It adds a lot of smoke and smoke flavor. It's comes with dried wood chips that you fill a small metal box (included) and then attach to the bottom side of the grill with a magnet. It works really well right over the heating element/tube.

Haven't tried other brand wood chips in it yet, not sure if they're formulated differently. (The chips that come with it look kiln dried.)

Any way, this product actually works well and gets you proaby 50-75% of a full charcoal/wood grill..but way less mess.
