Woodhouse Fish, Fried Ipswitch's and a Lobster Roll

Had lunch at the Woodhouse location on Fillmore yesterday, only because SPQR across the street was closed for lunch on Friday's (didn't they used to have better lunch hours?) Started with the fried Ipswitch's. Generous serving, good sized clams, too heavy handed on the frying and could have used 30 second less in the deep fryer. The flavor still came through though. Then onto the Lobster Roll. Very traditional preparation on a toasted New England Hot Dog bun. I can't say I've ever had flavorless lobster before but this was it. Just bland overall but the bun was perfect. Also I must say the wine list is fairly uninspired with very few selections by the glass. Maybe it was my disappointment at not being able to enjoy the carbonara I was hoping for across the street, but a very underwhelming experience.
