Wood Ranch BBQ

Is it possible that this restaurant is as bad as my experience last weekend might indicate?

The BBQ sauce reminds me of Chinese sweet/sour sauce - no spice, just sugar. The ribs are boiled, then thrown on the grill for a quick heating. Barely any grill marks on them. My tritip was an unappetizing gray - seemed microwaved rather than grilled.

BTW, this was at the packed Grove location.

Makes Tony Roma's look like the French Laundry.
