WOK SIZE - does it really matter?

cstout | Sep 11, 201410:35 AM     48

I have a 14 inch flat bottom wok from the Wok Shop & found that I am not using it so much since it is quite large for my glass cooktop. The wooden handle is so long, it seems like it sticks out a mile & infringes on what little cooking space I have. Plus, I just don't fix a lot to eat at one time anymore.

They now have 10 inch woks that I think would be better. I had my heart set on a hammered one, but it is not available in the 10 inch flat bottom.

The nice man at the Wok Shop said I should just keep using my 14 inch one, I can cook for one person or several in that one. He really thought I should save my money & just keep on woking. He also suggested that it seems as though I had not cooked enough on the existing one to realize that size does not matter.

Well folks, what is your opinion on this? Do I need that 10 inch one or not?
