Hello to all of you who have been following the discussions here over the past year and to any newcomers who might find this page interesting. I hope all of you are having fun with your wok burners and tables. Most of you are familiar with the stainless table I built last year using the Manniu x72 burner. This year I am introducing my latest effort at taking the outdoor Chinese cooking concept over the top. I named it “Thunderwok” due to its incredible power.
With an emphasis on authenticity, this table features a wok – filler faucet, knee valve with pilot control, and built in removable oil pot…all set up ergonomically to mimic a real wok station. Under the hood there is a 20 tip jet burner housed inside a stainless Mandarin style wok chamber underneath a 50 lb cast iron wok ring. This combination coupled with the proper regulator is capable of up to 200k btu per hour…a real monster. It’s about as close as you can get to cooking in an actual Chinese kitchen. I had this project on the drawing board last year and now it is completed. Here are a few pictures.
