Wok Asian Bistro - Northville
Relatively new place, open about 3 months.
Makes fresh stir-frys, using much local produce and meats, no msg.
You can also create your own stir fry, sorta like a mongolian bbq.
The owner seems very hands on and personable.
$10 lunch special with a salad, a choice of a appetizer (mine was served with my entree) , and an entree with white or brown rice.
I got the wok house salad, "bird's nest" tempura vegetables, and spicy broccoli with angus beef.
The salad dressing had a nice zip to it (wasabi/horseradish). Was really tasty.
The broccoli and beef was also really good. Full of flavor. Not too spicy.
The pic shows the small portion size of the lunch bundle. The bird's eye tempura is also on the plate.
Small, but it was $10. I was happy.
Also got a regular order of orange ginger chicken to take home (which my kids devoured for dinner).
I went quite a bit out of my way to try this place. I needed 1000 OpenTable points to get to a $100 gift certificate, and this seemed an easy option for lunch. It is a 1000 point table pretty much all day long for those into OpenTable points.
I like this place, the friendly staff, and the food. I hope they can make it work. I'll be back if in the area.
