In the summer my family loves these smoothies:
12 large ripe strawberries
1 cup strawberry yogurt
(optional) 1/4 cup protein powder
10 ice cubes
1 cup orange juice
blend on 'smoothie' setting for 2 minutes.
In winter the ice cubes give everybody the chills, so I've substituted the 10 ice cubes with 1 1/2 cup of applesauce.
I'd love to hear some other suggestions for ways to make this drink in the winter (?) Thanks!
