Winter 2017-18 Baking/Dessert Cookbook of the Month Nominations

It's time to nominate books for a Winter 2017–18 Baking/Dessert Cookbook of the Month, covering mid-December 2017, and January and February 2018. Let's consider books that will stand us through December's festivities, the urge for coziness in January, and Valentine's Day sweets.

Given the short lead time of this late nomination and voting round, I'd like to suggest nominating books that aren't crazy new, and therefore more likely readily available on our shelves, in libraries, and used. Please nominate books you'd really like to explore, of any bent you like, so long as they focus on baking and/or desserts!

Please note, this will a faster than usual nomination and voting cycle. TO NOMINATE or second a nomination, please type titles in ALL CAPS; to discuss but not nominate a book, please keep the extra caps at bay. NOMINATIONS WILL CLOSE at 6 PM EST/3 PM PST on SUNDAY, DECEMBER 10, and we'll move on to voting as quickly as I can manage.
