Wing Hing Hong Kong Style BBQ, Whole Roast Pig

jaweino | Jul 12, 200402:02 AM

We happened to come accross Wing Hing on San Bruno Ave. quite by accident and were delighted with what we found.

There was a whole roast pig on a table nmear the front and it looked very appealing. We were the only non-Chinese in the place, but they gave us an English menu. We ordered a platter of the roast pig that included a generous portion of crispy, tasty skin, and some BBQ'd spare ribs. We also had an order of braised tofu with mixed vegetables. We thought all the food was very good. While we were eating, another whole roast pig emerged from the kitchen to be hung up near the front counter.

We did feel that we were missing out on things, because there were menu items in Chinese all around the dining area, and people kept getting things that I didn't see on the menu. I guess we'll have to go back with Yimster.

For people having a big party, there was a sign offering three sizes of whole roast pig to go ranging in price from $140 to $180.
