I'm curious as to opinions on how many wineries it is feasible to visit in a day while in the Napa Valley. In the past, I've gone to up to 6 wineries a day and that was truly a bit much. I'm limiting myself to 3-4 a day when I visit in December. And adding in a long lunch mid-day and a break between the last winery visit and dinner. (For some reason a lovely nap always sounds perfect to me after a day of drinking wine.)
Any thoughts on whether this is a reasonable number, keeping in the same AVA each day? Or should I further reduce the number I visit? At this point, I'm generally having an early breakfast, then visiting one winery, then lunch, and 2-3 more wineries in the afternoon.
