wine with tasting menus - light drinkers

Hello all -
My family is visiting from out of town in several weeks, and I was fortunate to have been able to make reservations at the French Laundry for Saturday lunch.
I would like your expert opinions about what type of wine to order. I realize that this is always difficult given the complexity and range of flavors in the courses. Although the best option might be wine paired with each course, 3 of us will be very light drinkers (one glass only) and moderate drinking may be more prudent in the middle of the day with a long drive back to SF.
Overall our knowledge/love of wine is far less advanced than our love of food, but I would still like to have wine to accompany lunch.
What are the next best options given that we will likely limit ourselves to one bottle? Perhaps a bottle of sparkling wine? What would be a reasonable price range for this from the FL wine list?
Thanks in advance for your help!
