i touted this event last year and was thanked for bringing it to attention---so, i'm going to do it again---if in the napa valley on saturday, nov 1st, look into the "taste for knowledge" wine tasting and auction at the napa expo (fairgrounds), napa. it's a fund raising event for napa public schools. this years venue will feature a live and silent auction, as well as wine tasting from 36 prominent wineries, and food from 15 area restaurants, including fume bistro, coles, tuscany, zinsvalley, browns valley, and others. i've attended this event over the years and have found it to be one of napas hidden gems---great wines, food, lots of fun and a real value (tickets are 40 bucks and it all goes to the schools). some wines to be auctioned and tasted are screaming eagle, harlan estates, silver oak, miner family, artesa, robinson family, bouchaine, and on and on. check their website---www.tasteforknowledge.org. for more information or to purchase tickets, call 707-253-3563. rich
