Wine with smoked salmon

What would y'all think about an Oregon pinot noir with smoked salmon? If that's a good idea, then let me be more specific: I have Chateau Benoit 1998 Reserve, Domaine Drouhin 1999, and Erath 2000.
Comments from anyone who knows these wines, please.

If the pinot is not a good idea, what do you suggest?
